At Norris Mechanical Welding School, students receive hands-on welder training that leads to industry-recognized certifications. Training includes Stick welding, MIG welding, and TIG welding, and progresses to carbon and stainless steel pipe welding using proven methods.
In addition to student training, Norris Mechanical provides specialized welding training and certification testing for companies and individual welders.
All testing is conducted in accordance with American Welding Society (AWS) codes and standards. Norris Mechanical is an NCCER-accredited training provider, an SCDOT-certified testing facility, and is licensed by the state of South Carolina.
Through our one-on-one, instructor-led training approach, motivated students can progress from beginner to certified pipe welder in as little as six months.
Mr. Sizemore completed 480 hours in pipe welding. He passed his ASME Certifications in GTAW and SMAW on carbon steel pipe. He is now working at a local fabrication facility.
Mr. Mathis obtained a welding job with a local fabrication shop after only 160 hours of training. He is also AWS certified on plate and pipe.
